Eating sardines regularly helps prevent type 2 diabetes, suggests a new randomized controlled trial. Nutrients such as taurine, omega 3, calcium and vitamin D help to protect against diabetes. Sardine consumption also improved cholesterol regulation, and reduced triglycerides and blood pressure.
